Research on Driving Factors of Forest Ecological Security: Evidence from 12 Provincial Administrative Regions in Western China

Forests are associated with countrywide ecological security, and there significant differences in the forests of different regions. Based on DPSIR model, 25 indicators were selected from five dimensions to determine index system, entropy-weighted TOPSIS method gray correlation applied western China’s forests. The spatial distribution map was used observe changes results show that first, Inner Mongolia (0.466) has best forest security status Ningxia (0.124) worst resource status. Second, first most frequent is area planted (I1). last sulfur dioxide emission (P2). Thirdly, Szechwan belong high safety–high economic level, Yunnan, Guangxi, Tibet safety–low Gansu Guizhou low level. rest regions classified security–high Fourth, China gradually become better, increasing 0.417 0.469, an average annual increase 12.47%.
